The eBox-2300 is a compact and computing device designed for applications where physical space is limited. It can be mounted on any VESA standard fixture allowing it to be secured to desks and other surfaces. It was initially released in 2003 and has been discontinued in 2009.
The eBox-2300 was selected as the hardware platform for the Windows Embedded Student Challenge competition and was adopted by a number of academic institutions to teach embedded system related courses.
The support resources on this link are provided to support academic institutions and hobbyist developers still using this device. These resources are provided as a convenience and will not be maintained.
The eBox-3310A is the hardware platform replacing the eBox-2300 to support the Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and Windows Embedded Compact 7 academic curriculum from Microsoft. There are ongoing efforts to develop learning resources for Windows Embedded CE 6.0 and Windows Embedded Compact 7 for the eBox-3310A. For more information, visit the following URL:
